BNY Mellon Wealth Management Promotes Carolyn Kozlowski to National Escrow Sales Manager
Appointment Demonstrates Growth of Private Banking Business
Capitalizing on the growing demand for private banking services from its clients, BNY Mellon Wealth Management has promoted Carolyn Kozlowski to national escrow sales manager. Kozlowski, who is based in Pittsburgh, is responsible for setting strategies for escrow sales, marketing and client service practices and will oversee the escrow sales team. She reports to Joan Bird, managing director of BNY Mellon Wealth Management's West, Central and Mid-Atlantic private banking groups.

"Within our private banking group, escrow services have been a growing and significant new source of deposit balances and revenue," said Bill Sappington, executive director of private banking. "Carolyn's appointment to this newly created role will bring important focus to our escrow business as we expand our expertise to all of our major markets."

Identified as a high opportunity for BNY Mellon Wealth Management's private banking group, escrow accounts generated some 13 percent of the company's 2009 deposit balances.

Kozlowski has more than 25 years of commercial and private banking credit, sales and business development experience, including 15 years with BNY Mellon. She has coordinated numerous escrow projects and initiatives on a national basis.  In 2007 she was charged with developing the escrow business in the Pittsburgh market and generated more than 50 percent of the firm's escrow revenue in 2009 alone. Her previous experience includes business development roles for trust, investment management, and private banking.

Kozlowski earned her bachelor's degree from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and also holds a post-graduate Certification in French and Spanish translation from Carnegie Mellon University.
